I am actually quite passionate about this. People have such a negative attitude towards food sometimes. I understand that people want to be healthy and eat or not eat certain things. I understand that sometimes people will turn down dessert or some other treat because of a goal to eat healthier or cleaner. I understand that some people are obese due to genetics and dieting habits. I understand that carrots and apples are healthier than cookies and cupcakes.
But cookies and cupcakes are delicious.
If you choose to eat one, for the love of everything that is good in the world, do not keep talking about how many calories it is or how many laps at the gym you will have to do to make up for it. Just enjoy it, please.
If you are on a trip in Europe and gelato stands are every 30 yards, don't kick yourself for having gelato three times in one day. Why? 1) it is delicious and 2) you will only get to walk the streets of Europe while dining on gelato only so many times in your life. Enjoy it. If you are going to complain about eating a certain food that could be "unhealthy" don't eat it at all. Practice some self control. And if you are with a group of people where a dessert is served and you choose not to eat it, don't you dare talk negatively about it while other people are trying to enjoy it. Eating food should be an experience and it doesn't need to be ruined by your food hating talk.
And can we just destroy the "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" pin? Thank you.

Most enjoyable: the library
Least enjoyable: the air force base
Most random: snow cone hobo trailer.
I once spilled the cherry flavoring EVERYWHERE. It got all over the floor, ceiling, my hair, me. . . it looked like a hobo murder had happened in the hobo trailer.

I love books.
I love libraries and bookshops.
I own a lot of books.
I keep a journal that lists every book I have read since 2003.
It is the only journal I have been able to keep up on.
I have a notebook with an ongoing list of the books I want to read.
The list never ends.
Some of my favorites:
The Chosen by Chaim Potok
The Alchemist by Paulo Choelho
The Land by Mildred D. Taylor
The Sammy Keyes Series by Wendelin Van Draanen (I thought I would outgrow these books since they are about a 14-year-old girl that solves mysteries and written for ages 9-15, but I read one of the books at this time last year when I was 22, and I was just as hooked as I was when I first started reading them in 7th grade.)
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (I liked this book before it was cool and was made into a movie with Leo DiCap.)
Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
There are a lot of things that fascinate me, but one thing in particular comes to mind: outer space.
Outer space is massive and terrifying. I learned in my college astronomy class that, if it were possible, you could travel around space and eventually reach your starting point again. So the whole universe is a sphere (?). I don't know how anyone knows that, but that's what they told us poor college students. Fascinating. And scary.
I thought of another thing that absolutely fascinates me! How pictures develop. Like, in a dark room. Expose the light onto photo paper, dip it in that water-like substance made from magic, watch the image appear, and hang it to dry. Fas.cin.at.ing. I once went with my friend Kim to our school's dark room to develop some pictures she had taken. I was freaking out, it was so amazing to me. Everyone should experience the magic that happens when photos are developed. It will blow your mind.
