24. List 5 movies you could watch over and over
Tuesday, February 03, 2015
It was hard to narrow this down! There are so many movies I could add to this list. I thought long and hard about this and these are the ones I have chosen:
1) The Young Victoria
The story of Victoria and Albert.
This movie is so beautiful!
The costumes!
The story!
The music!
The cinematography!
I watched this lovely movie for the first time after renting it from a Redbox (but don't worry, I now own my own copy!). When the credits started rolling at the end I found myself in complete awe of it's immense beauty and immediately watched it again a second time through.

2) You've Got Mail
Kathleen Kelly: What?
Joe Fox: Well... if I hadn't been Fox Books and you hadn't been The Shop Around the Corner, and you and I had just, well, met...
Kathleen Kelly: I know.
Joe Fox: Yeah. I would have asked for your number, and I wouldn't have been able to wait twenty-four hours before calling you and saying, "Hey, how about... oh, how about some coffee or, you know, drinks or dinner or a movie... for as long as we both shall live?"
I'm pretty sure this is a given with every single person on earth. How can you NOT like this movie?

3) Anna and the King
You know those movies that are terribly sad, but still so so good? This is one of those movies. And it's not like the whole movie is completely heartbreaking, but there are some super sad parts. But that only makes it so much greater and so much more . . . complex? I don't know if that is the best word to describe it, but after I watched this movie I wanted to learn more about the real people that this story is based on.* And the cast includes a little Draco Malfoy!
*Fun Fact: I did not know that the Anna and the King/The King and I stories were based on real people until I was well into high school.

4) While You Were Sleeping
I truly regret that I was not introduced to this movie earlier in my life. I first watched it with my roommates in my second year of college. Little did I know it would become one of my all time favorites! Quirky characters, quotable lines, and some quality 90s rom-com feels. What more could you want?

5) Tangled
There was no way I could complete a list like this without adding a Disney movie to the mix. Tangled touched my heart the first time I watched it. And every time ever since. But we can delete the old man in the diaper at the end of the movie. That's fine with me.
Can we all go to a floating lantern festival now?

This list is perfection, we'll chosen! I'm glad to know someone loved The Young Victoria as much as I did. And all the rest of them, too!
